UK is in front when it comes to implementing wind power. In fact the scale of offshore windpower currently envisaged in the UK energysystem is far larger than in any other country in the world.

The wind farm will contribute to handling the issue of climate change. With a power capacity of 370MW (phase 1 + 2), possibly increasing to 600MW, Walney Offshore Windfarm will make a substantial contribution to British renewable energy production.
