Low Temperature Gasification

Currently a 6MW demonstration plant is underway at Asnaes Power Plant in Denmark. This demonstration plant will show that it is possible to substitute fossil fuels at large scale power plants and produce electricity and heat with a high efficiency from low value and difficult biomass.

The 6MW plant is the final steppingstone on the path to the first commercially available Low Temperature Gasification co-firing plants.

LT-CFB

Gasification is a method for producing clean fuels from waste biomass and therefore has the potential to play a vast part in solving the worlds demand for clean energy.

LT-CFB is an acronym for Low Temperature Circulating Fluidized Bed gasification. Biomass is gasified below around 700°C assuring that most alkaline and phosphorus can be kept at a solid state, allowing it to be separated from the produced gas.
