A 6MW Low Temperature Gasifier is underway at the DONG Energy owned Asnaes Power Plant. Financial support for the project is secured and construction will has begun during fall of 2010. Once construction is completed the plant will start up on straw and hereafter tests will be carried out with different types of fuel.





The project will be divided into three phases; Up-scaling, Integration and Demonstration. These phases will be completed according to the shown schedule.

Funding
The 6MW demonstration plant is partly funded by DONG Energy and partly by Public Service Obligations from Energinet.dk. Energinet.dk has supported the demonstration project with approximately DKK 35 million. Public Service Obligations are given to projects that have the potential to benefit the Danish society and electricity sector. Energinet.dk's funds are financed through transport tariffs imposed on electricity consumption.
