Short term activities
The goal is within approximately five years to construct and commission a full scale Low Temperature Gasifier of 50MW. This plant will most likely be located at an existing Danish power plant where primarily biomass will be co-fired. The design of the 50MW plant will be based on the experiences gained from the 6MW demonstration plant. Completed testing of the 50MW unit is expected to form a sufficient foundation for commercial Low Temperature Gasification units of similar sizes as well as for further scaling up.
Furthermore the existence of negatively priced waste fuels open a market for smaller commercial Low Temperature Gasification units rated approximately 10MW. These units are aimed at external customers with high gas consumption and the production of a waste by-product. These units will be developed as a parallel activity and further such plants may therefore follow.
Short term activities also include initiating new university based research which will initiate and evaluate selected further developments and applications for the Low Temperatur Gasification concept.
