Nysted Wind Farm at Rødsand is owned by a joint venture, with DONG Energy owning 42.75%, Stadtwerke Lübeck 7.25 % and PensionDanmark owning 50%.
Developers
DONG Energy
- was the developer responsible for erecting the turbines and constructing the foundations, which represents approximately 80% of the total costs.
SEAS Transmission A/S
- was the developer responsible for connection to the power grid, i.e. the laying of cables between the turbines and the transformer station, between the transformer station and Vantore Strand as well as between Vantore and connection to the main high-voltage grid at Radsted.
Contractors
SIEMENS
- (formerly Bonus Energy A/S) supplied the 72 turbines.
Per Aarsleff A/S and the Dutch company Ballast Nedam
- Supplied the 73 foundations (72 turbines plus
one transformer station).
Pirelli
supplied the grid connection from the transformer station to shore
and reinforcement of the high-voltage grid
across the Guldborgsund and Storstrømmen straits.
ABB
- supplied the collection grid between the wind turbines and transformer station
and the on-shore cables from Vantore Strand
to the connection to the high-voltage grid at Radsted.
Bladt Industries
- built the transformer station.
