At around 2 in the morning of Friday, 31 October it became a reality! The accommodation platform was finally placed on its monopile at sea. Now it is right next to its neighbour Energinet.dk’s substation which in future will transport the power to shore.


Here, the accommodation module has just been hoisted onto the monopile and transition piece.

“It actually went smoother than we expected,” says a pleased Lars Koldby Svendsen, DONG Energy’s supervisor during the installation. The weather was nice, and with lots of work lights on the scene, the erection was completed in 48 hours, even though we operate with a weather window of 72 hours for these kinds of assignments,” he explains.


Here, the walkway to connect the accommodation platform with the transformer platform is set in place.
