The wind farm was constructed and is owned by DONG Energy, and its 91 wind turbines in total will generate green power corresponding to the annual power consumption of 200,000 households.
The inauguration took place at the accommodation platform Poseidon, which is situated adjacent to the wind farm, approximately 30 km off the west coast of Jutland in the Danish part of the North Sea.
In addition to HRH Crown Prince Frederik, Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Chairman of the Board of DONG Energy Fritz H. Schur, former CEO of DONG Energy Anders Eldrup and CEO of Siemens Wind Power Andreas Nauen attended the inauguration ceremony.
