This is the first time DONG Energy will be demonstrating next generation turbines offshore in the UK.

The Direct Drive Technology turbine has a capacity of 6 MW. The two turbines to be installed at Gunfleet Sands 3 will have a rotor diameter of 120 meters with a swept area of 11.500 m².
