​The Danish state
The Danish Ministry of Finance represents the Danish state as the majority shareholder in DONG Energy.


New Energy Investment s.á r.l. ("NEI")
NEI is a limited liability company organized under the laws of Luxembourg. NEI is indirectly owned by entities under the control of the Merchant Banking Division of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. ("MBD").


MBD is the primary center for Goldman Sachs' long-term principal investing activity, and Goldman Sachs has operated this business as an integral part of the firm for more than 25 years. The group invests in equity and credit across corporate, real estate and infrastructure strategies and has raised over $145 billion of levered fund capital to invest across a number of geographies, industries and transaction types since 1986. With nine offices in seven countries around the world, MBD is one of the largest managers of private capital globally, offering deep expertise and long-standing relationships with companies, investors, entrepreneurs and financial intermediaries around the globe.


Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high-net-worth individuals. Founded in 1869, the firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in all major financial centers around the world.

A total of 4.9 million Danes participate in the ATP pension fund, and ATP is one of the biggest investors in Europe. In addition to dealing with pensions, ATP administrates the payment of a variety of transfer incomes. ATP has its head office in Hillerød, payment centres in numerous Danish towns and cities, and branch offices in London and New York. ATP employes approximately 1,900 people.

PFA Pension
PFA Pension was founded in 1917 by a number of workers' organisations as an independent company tasked with providing a secure financial future for its members and their families. Today, PFA has around 800,000 customers from a wide range of the biggest companies and organisations in Denmark.

SEAS-NVE is a Danish energy company formed in 2005 through the merger between Sydsjællands Elektricitets Aktieselskab (SEAS) and Andelsselskabet Nordvestsjællands Elektricitetsværk (NVE). SEAS-NVE is the biggest customer-owned electricity company in Denmark.
