Today, DONG Energy's distribution company has assigned tasks to the contractors who are to supply operation, maintenance and construction services for the energy company's power grid for the next five years.
An extensive tender round has just been completed and during the next five years, DONG Energy expects to enter into framework agreements totalling a value of approximately DKK 750 million with the selected contractors. The final contracts will be signed later this month.
Anders Vikkelsø, Vice President, said the following about the background for the future cooperation:
"We wanted to gather our supplier agreements and enter into long-term strategic cooperation with a few, qualified and motivated partners. I'm pleased that we've now reached one of the most important milestones of this supplier strategy."
A constellation of contractors consisting of Eltel Networks A/S and Nordkystens A/S will as one of two area contractors handle all operation and maintenance tasks in the north-eastern area of Sealand (from Halsnæs in the west, Gribskov in the north, Elsinore in the east and Copenhagen in the south).
Another constellation of contractors consisting of Bravida Danmark A/S and MT Højgaard A/S will as the other of two area contractors handle all operation and maintenance tasks in the south-western area (from Lejre in the west, Frederikssund in the north, Egedal in the east and Dragør in the south).
Copenhagen and Frederiksberg are equally divided between the two areas.
And finally, Kemp & Lauritzen A/S has been appointed project contractor who will bid on large projects throughout the supply area in competition with the two area contractors.
Anders Vikkelsø said:
“I'm looking forward to developing the cooperation with these contractors in the years to come. This will strengthen the contractors' and our own business.
