Leadership Development Programme (LDP)
Today being a good leader demands competencies in a whole range of disciplines such as: strategy, innovation and planning and control. The leader will also need an international mindset as well as communication skills. Our Leadership Development Programme, called LDP, strengthens the personal leadership skills based on DONG Energy´s holistic approach to leadership.
The manager training programme for experienced managers sharpens the manager’s eye for the needs and challenges of the business. At the same time it is a possibility for personal development of own leadership behaviour.
Scope
The programme is developed around three main thems:
- You as a leader – your leadership skills and your potential
- Visionary leadership – how is strategy converted into action
- Change management – how to become an efficient leader in times of change
Target group
- This programme is for managers who have minimum 2-3 years of management experience (either within or outside DONG Energy) and who at the same time have been employed at least 2-3 years within DONG Energy
- Today, the manager will typically hold a position as head of a department
- The manager has direct and full management responsibility for minimum 4-5 employees and consequently the manager is – as part of the line leader organisation – responsible for hiring, workforce reductions, budget, employee development etc.
- The manager is familiar with the management role and understand own strengths and weaknesses as a leader but at the same time wish to develop the personal and more strategic business elements of leadership to ensure the best possible match between management practice and the objectives and strategy of the organisation
- The manager wishes to accelerate current career
Scope and duration
The learning form is a combinations of individual development activities and three teaching modules.The method of learning is practise oriented with a focus on refection and development of own leader capacity. Theory is used to support and create understanding of praxis. An important element is that the manager during the course of the programme is working in groups with a development project in order to secure a close linkage to the organisational reality in DONG Energy
