Natural gas bus in Copenhagen
Natural gas for transportation is of great advantage to the environment, especially throughout our communities. The technology is developed and mature and several countries already have used it successfully with natural gas-fuelled transport. In Denmark, natural gas for busses and cars can be implemented within one year.
Demo bus in Copenhagen
From November 2006 to March 2007, a natural gas-fuelled city bus was put into service in greater Copenhagen. The purpose was to gain practical experience in a large Danish city and get a better basis for evaluating whether natural gas-fuelled busses should be given priority in the future. Natural gas demands a totally different technology from bottled gas (LPG), which today is used by the traffic company Movia to fuel approx. 150 busses.
