Small-scale CHP plants
DONG Energy produces electricity and heat at a number of small-scale CHP plants. In addition, DONG Energy co-owns a small-scale CHP plant. Together with the waste-fired CHP plants, they all supplement the ten primary CHP plants.
The CHP plants primarily use biomass by way of straw and wood chips or natural gas as fuel, although some supplement these fuels with other types, such as coal, to produce heat and electricity.
The small-scale CHP plants are:
DTU CHP Plant
Grenaa CHP Plant
Haslev CHP Plant
Herning CHP Plant
Køge CHP Plant
Maribo-Sakskøbing CHP Plant
Masnedø CHP Plant
Ringsted CHP Plant
Slagelse CHP Plant
