Køge CHP Plant
Køge CHP Plant is a CHP plant which does not supply the heat it produces to a district-heating network, but instead sells it as process steam to enterprises.
The plant has a total capacity of 26 MW electricity and 81.3 MJ/s of steam. Køge CHP Plant supplies electricity to the high-voltage electricity grid in Eastern Denmark. The steam is used partly as process steam at Køge Bio Pellet Plant and partly at Junckers Industries.
Køge CHP Plant consists of two wood-fired boilers that use biomass as fuel. The plant can use everything from wood chips, wood dust and sawdust to olive pits as fuel.
