Since 1951 Skærbæk Power Station has been beautifully situated at Skærbæk on the northern side of Kolding Fiord.

The power station has a capacity of 392 MW and produced a net quantity of 1,798 GWh of electricity and 3,636 TJ of district heating in 2006.



The power station consists of one unit. The gas-fired unit 3 is from 1997.

The power station particularly uses natural gas to generate electricity and district heating, but also oil. Today. The power station has 45 employees.
