Sponsorships in DONG Energy

Sponsorships are part of DONG Energy’s image and marketing activities. We focus on a portfolio of strategic, extensive and long-term partnerships.

All our sponsorship agreements are in some way related to energy; either literally - such as educational material or exhibitions on energy - or in a figurative sense; such as sport activities.

We do not sponsor activities that

• support political parties, political organisations or candidates
• support religious purposes
• support an individual/individuals

In addition to our sponsorships, we support a number of well-established charitable organisations in Denmark. This is done through the annual Danish fund-raising event; the so-called “Danmarks Indsamling”. All employees are encouraged to contribute and DONG Energy doubles the amount collected.

In connection with the employee Christmas gift, each employee donates 10 DKK of his/her Christmas gift for charity and again DONG Energy doubles the amount.

Our present portfolio of strategic partnerships complies with these criteria. We continuously review our sponsorships to ensure that they add value to our marketing and communication activities".

Our partnerships are long-term co-operations in which both parties through mutual engagement and joint development are committed to create positive effects to the benefit of both parties.

We focus on a few partnerships and have industry exclusivity.

The partnerships provide DONG Energy with specific benefits, such as company-visibility or unique event possibilities. This is all used to the benefit of employees, customers and partners.

We allocate necessary resources to activate the sponsorships and lay down guidelines for our co-operation, continuous feed-back and evaluation.

Furthermore we expect our partners to be dedicated and
up-dated on DONG Energy and to be ready to allocate required resources to ensure a successful partnership.
