The principal objective of the Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm project is the generation of energy from a renewable source, i.e. wind, in line with the UK Government's targets.

The Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm  is an extension to the existing and operational Burbo Bank offshore wind farm and is located W of the Operational Wind Farm in Liverpool Bay.
