Dates for the second round of community consultation events for the proposed Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm were announced today by the Project team at DONG Energy.

The four events will give local communities and other interested groups including organisations and businesses the opportunity to learn more about the proposal to extend the existing Burbo Bank offshore wind farm.

It is a great way to talk through any queries or concerns people have as the Burbo Bank Extension team will be there to discuss their proposals and listen to the opinions of the local community.

Nearly 300 people attended the first round of community consultation events, the results of which were recently published in a Mini Consultation Report.

Of the people that expressed their views the majority who attended the events were supportive of the proposals and DONG Energy hope that this positive relationship will continue.

The second round community consultation events are taking place at the following venues:

• Tynewydd Centre, Tynewydd Road, Rhyl, Denbighshire LL18 3RD
  Tuesday 17 April 2012 - 12 noon - 6pm
• Floral Pavilion,  Marine Promenade, New Brighton, Wirral CH45 2JS
  Wednesday 18 April 2012 - 1pm - 7pm
• Crosby Leisure Centre, Mariners Road, Crosby, Merseyside L23 6SX
  Friday 20 April 2012 - 12 noon - 6pm
• Hoylake Community Centre, Hoyle Road, Hoylake, Wirral CH47 3AG
  Saturday 21 April 2012 - 10am - 4pm

Project Development Manager, Ferdinando Giammichele said:
