With more than 20 years experience in the wind power industry, DONG Energy is one of the leading offshore wind farm developers in the UK. We have two 90 Megawatt (MW) wind farms in operation at Barrow in the East Irish Sea, of which we own 50%, and Burbo Bank in Liverpool Bay, of which we own 100%. We also operate Gunfleet Sands in the Thames Estuary, which has a generating capacity of 172 MW. In the future we hope to operate Walney Island where we will have a generating capacity of 151 MW, as well as five more UK projects which are currently at various stages of development.

DONG E&P UK
The focus of our Exploration and Production (E&P) business in the UK is the West of Shetland region where E&P have an interest in the six largest discoveries made in recent years. E&P have ambitions to further strengthen our position in the region by continuing to drill exploration wells and creating opportunities to bring discoveries on stream as quickly as possible.
