To do this effectively we employ around 140 energetic professionals at our head office in Den Bosch: Portfolio Management, Sales & Marketing set the prices and are responsible for our marketing campaigns; Account Managers and the Sales Support department maintain personal contact with our business clients; and for our private customers we have our Customer Service department. Our aim is to be just one telephone call away from serving our customers.

The Netherlands is an important market for our Danish parent company. A key priority in DONG Energy’s strategy is the reduction of carbon emissions. To this end, DONG Energy has pledged itself to expanding its offshore wind capacity and to the use of natural gas and biomass as an alternative for coal. The investment in the Enecogen power station, which opened on 19 January 2012, demonstrates DONG Energy’s commitment to playing an active role in North-West European markets. Additional investments in the LNG Terminal in Rotterdam and in our own business only go to underline this. An increasing number of businesses and consumers are opting for DONG Energy: we expect that this growth will continue progressively over the coming years, and in so doing, we aim to take full advantage of our position and activities in the Dutch market.

Enecogen
As a result of a 50% participation in Enecogen, a gas-fired power station being built in Europoort, Rotterdam, DONG Energy is now even more strongly represented in the Dutch energy market. The Enecogen power station has a total capacity of 870MW, 50% of which is in the hands of DONG Energy. Our participation in Enecogen, which comes on stream at the end of 2011, will consolidate our position in the Dutch energy market.
