The onshore wind farm is located in Karnice Commune in the north-western part of Poland, just 5 kilometres from the Baltic Sea. The wind farm went into operation in early 2010 and consists of 13 Siemens wind turbines each with a capacity of 2.3MW.

DONG Energy is the sole owner of the wind farm. The primary use of the area is agriculture.


DONG Energy already operates the nearby Lake Ostrowo Wind Farm, a wind farm with a total capacity of 31MW, which was commissioned in 2007. Our another wind farm is the nearby Karcino Wind Farm with a total capacity of 50MW, that has been under operation since the same time as the Karnice Wind Farm.

DONG Energy cooperates with EPA, Poland’s largest wind development company, on developing wind farm projects in Poland.
