At the inauguration  on the 17th of September 2009, Horns Rev 2 was the world’s largest offshore wind farm. The wind farm is located in the North Sea 30km off the coast of western Jutland. The 91 turbines, has a total production capacity of 209 megawatt, produces power equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 200,000 households.
