Gas Infrastructure Assets
DONG Energy owns interests in a number of natural gas pipelines which connect a.o. the DUC fields in the North Sea with the Danish and European gas infrastructure. As part of the liberalization of the natural gas market, third parties have had access to our Danish offshore pipelines since 2000.
We also hold interests in assets outside the Danish system for instance:
- 50% of the gas pipeline from the Danish Tyra platform to the F3 platform off the Dutch coast
- 49% owner of the 111 km Deudan natural gas pipeline in Germany from the Danish-German border in Ellund to Quarnstedt in Germany
- 20.4% owner of the 390 km Swedegas natural gas pipeline in the Southern part of Sweden
Long-term storage lease contracts
We are currently building a portfolio of long-term natural gas storage lease contracts in Northern Europe to better supply our customers in Germany and The Netherlands. These include:
- Annual contract of approximately 195 mcm in Germany, plus additional capacity in negotiation
- In negotiation regarding a facility near Etzel in Northern Germany, near the border with The Netherlands, which will enable us to service that market
