Markets

Our Markets division handles wholesale and end-customer sales and ensures that DONG Energy has enough gas and power to meet demand. Markets has customers in Denmark, Sweden, Germany og Holland, this includes:

  • 300,000 gas customers 
  • 1,100,000 electricity customers

We strive to create a stable growth in the sales of power and natural gas to the German wholesale market and the Dutch end-customer market.



Risk management
The Markets division is also responsible for our group-wide commodity price risk management. Through financial trading, we are focused on hedging our exposure to commodity price fluctuations. We are seeking to minimize these costs by taking advantage of the mix of exposures we have in different business segments.
