Ringsted CHP Plant

Ringsted CHP Plant is natural gas fired and was commissioned in 1997. The plant produces heat and electricity and consists of a gas engine plant with a capacity of 11 MW of electricity and 13 MJ/s of heat.

The electricity generated can cover the consumption of approximately 14,000 households, while the heat produced cover the needs of around 4,300 households at Ringsted. The annual consumption of natural gas is around 12 million m³.
