Gassled
DONG Energy currently owns 0.682% of Gassled, the world’s largest offshore pipeline system. This 7,800 kilometre natural gas pipeline system transports almost all Norwegian natural gas to continental Europe and the United Kingdom. The system includes: 

  • Offshore natural gas pipelines and offshore platforms 
  • Norwegian onshore processing plants at Kollsnes and Kårstø 
  • UK receiving facilities and terminals at St. Fergus and Easington 
  • Northern European receiving facilities and terminals in Dornum, Emden, Zeebrügge, and Dunkerque

Gassled’s strategic advantage
As a Gassled stakeholder, we have higher priority when booking capacity as well as having strategic access to the gas markets in the UK and Northern Europe where we sell our gas from equity production. Furthermore, this access provides new market opportunities and commercial arrangements which put us in a better position to redirect natural gas between markets maximising value for DONG Energy.

Oil pipeline
We own and operate Denmark’s only oil pipeline, which transports oil and condensate from the Gorm E platform in the North Sea to the oil terminal in Fredericia for Danish oil producers. The pipeline is 330 km long a third of which is onshore.
