Markets buys, sells and transports electricity and gas in the North-West European energy markets and is involved in related activities. Furthermore, Markets is responsible for the balance between DONG Energy's energy sales and purchasing through trading on the international energy exchanges.

Our customers are mainly wholesale clients in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Benelux and the UK as well as end users in Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands.



Wholesale trading mostly takes place out of Denmark, and sales to end users outside Denmark takes places through wholly- or partly owned subsidiaries.

• German co-ownership of municipal utility company in Germany

• Ownership and operation of Danish natural gas pipelines in the North Sea
• Operator (Transmission System Operator, TSO) of the DEUDAN gas pipeline between the German and Danish natural gas networks
• Co-ownership of natural gas pipelines in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands
