Studstrup Power Station
Since 1968 Studstrup Power Station has been beautifully situated facing Kalø Bay north of Århus.
The power station has a capacity of 700 MW and generated a net quantity of 3,340 GWh of electricity and 9,090 TJ of district heating in 2006.
The power station has two units - units 3 and 4 – which were put into operation in 1984 and 1985. These have since then been modernized regularly.
The Studstrup Power Station uses oil and coal to produce electricity and district heating. Units 3 and 4 also use biomass by way of straw.
