UN Global Compact

In December 2006, DONG Energy joined the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative.

As a member of the Global Compact, DONG Energy will work to advance 10 universal principles in human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.

The 10 Principles include:

Human Rights
1. Support, respect, and protect internationally proclaimed human rights
2. Abstain from abusing human rights

Labour Standards
3. Uphold the freedom of association and recognise the right to collective bargaining
4. Eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labour
5. Abolish child labour
6. Eliminate discrimination in employment and occupation

Environment
7. Support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
8. Promote greater environmental responsibility
9. Encourage developing and adopting environmentally friendly technologies

Anti-Corruption
10. Work against all forms of corruption, extortion, and bribery
