Environmental Assessments

We develop all our environmental initiatives after thoroughly collecting data, analysing it in conjunction with the authorities to assess its environmental impact, and identifying prioritised action areas.

There are two primary assessments we use at DONG Energy:

Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
This tool helps us describe a product’s environmental impact from cradle to grave. It enables us to analyse specific aspects within a life cycle and identify the greatest potential for environmental improvement.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
These assessments are ideal for large-scale projects, such as offshore wind farms and production facilities. The EIA reports help us ensure that we have thoroughly examined environmental factors in and near the target area and that we have the lowest environmental impact possible in all phases, from construction and operation to disposal.
