DONG Energy comments on article in the Danish weekly newspaper Weekendavisen

Weekendavisen reports that DONG Energy is working on strengthening the
company’s capital structure. DONG Energy can advise as follows in that
connection:

DONG Energy is in dialogue with its principal shareholder, the Danish Ministry
of Finance, on possible initiatives aimed at strengthening its capital
structure, including a potential injection of equity. The strengthening of the
capital structure is to contribute to the development of the Group’s profitable
core areas.

The dialogue with the Ministry of Finance is still ongoing.

In connection with DONG Energy’s presentation of its 2012 financial statements
and new strategy on 27 February 2013 DONG Energy would like to provide further
information on its deliberations.
