As a trainee, you will get a comprehensive and versatile education ensuring that you will gain experience within a wide range of working areas and tasks within your area of specialisation. Your personal training plan will be sent to you before you start working with us.

School attendance and diploma
During your education, school attendance is mandatory. There are several stays at a duration of one week comprising mandatory and optional subjects. In co-operation with you, we will try to plan the subjects to the best possible extent based on your personal training plan.

The final vocational test brings together the entire educational course. The final vocational test will tell whether you have achieved all the educational goals, both the common goals and the goals of education and learning through your education process. You must be able to write a problem formulation, set goals, plan and implement a task within a defined work area in DONG Energy. The final vocational test is an oral exam at the school of commerce.

When you start working with us we will give you a thorough introduction to your education and our company and you will meet the other trainees. At a later stage, you will be invited to a 2-day introduction seminar where all new trainees are invited and finally, you will be invited to an introduction day for all new employees in DONG Energy.

Mentor
You will have a mentor who will follow you during your 2-year trainee process and supervisors will be available in the departments you will be working in. It is ia the responsibility of the supervisor to support and guide you, so that you achieve your education process and perform your daily work in your department in a good manner.

Your daily work at DONG Energy will be characterised by development and change. You will have many interesting tasks, good colleagues and get in-depth knowledge of the energy business. Take responsibility for your learning and get influence on your daily work. You should also join the trainee group and contribute to strengthening the social network among the trainees.

Development and evaluation
We regularly conduct evaluation meetings during which you and your supervisor review your progress – advantages, disadvantages, items for improvement, what you should continue to work on etc.

Special feature days
In order to promote daily co-operation, our common identity and develop the trainee network, we conduct cross-organisational special feature days for the entire DONG Energy trainee group with focus on professional and social aspects. We also conduct an annual workshop for our second year trainees.

We expect that you have completed HHX (higher commercial examination), HG2 (second year commercial college) or HGS (supplementary commercial education for A-level graduates) before you start your training at DONG Energy. Practical business experience will be an advantage.

It is important that you have a responsible and service-minded approach to your work tasks. You must be good at working independently and co-operating with your colleagues. Furthermore, you should be proactive and be a go-getter. It is important that you wish to develop personally and professionally.
